NEW 200 makes $1,050 grant to robotics courses

The NEW 200 Foundation awarded $1,050 to support robotics education at the middle school level across the district. The $1,050 will fund the purchase of replacement VEX Robotics kits, which will be used in the courses and shared among the schools.

This has been a successful year for the NEW 200 Foundation, the education support foundation for all District 200 Wheaton-Warrenville schools. NEW 200 Honors Distinguished Teachers

Each year, the NEW 200 Foundation honors one teacher from CUSD 200’s elementary, middle and high school levels who has put forth extra effort to enrich the educational experiences of District 200 students. This year’s honorees are: Deanna Bero, 2nd grade teacher, Lincoln Elementary School; Heidi Galassi, 7th grade math teacher, Edison Middle School; and Jon Nowortya, music teacher and marching band coach, Wheaton North High School.
