Educator Funding Options:

The Student Excellence Foundation offers two options for District 200 educators to obtain funding for classroom and school-wide projects, as well as professional development:

Student Excellence Grants are awarded twice a year in a competitive process, based on how well each educator’s grant application meets our  criteria aimed at enhancing education in District 200.  These grants are funded by donations from individuals and businesses during our various fundraising efforts.

Fund-A-Classroom Campaigns are supported by “crowdfunding”, where educators initiate an online campaign on FoundationGive, and are responsible for marketing their project to friends, relatives, parents, and other potential donors. The Student Excellence Foundation does not directly fund these campaigns, though we do provide the FoundationGive platform, as well as supportive marketing to PTA’s and other community groups.

Who can apply for a Student Excellence Grant or Fund-A-Classroom Campaign?

Any District 200 school staff member who works directly with students (teacher, LLC Director, counselor, social worker, principal, etc.) is eligible to apply for a Student Excellence Grant or submit a Fund-A-Classroom request.

If you have questions on which option best fits your needs, please email Grants@StudentExcellenceFoundation.org or FundAClassroom@StudentExcellenceFoundation.org, or call 630-474-1344.
