2022 Stars of the Week
We are excited to bring our Second Annual Stars of the Week program to District 200! Building upon the excitement from last year, we look forward to receiving nominations again this year. Like last year, one classroom teacher and one staff member per building will be named Stars of the Week. We hope you will help us recognize the STARS in our District.
Nominations are due by Tuesday, December 14. You may nominate one classroom teacher and one staff member from your building. There is a section on the form for each nomination category. Any teacher/staff member is eligible for nomination if currently employed by District 200, but self-nominations will not be considered.
The Stars of the Week and their principals will be notified in January, and will be recognized and celebrated throughout the semester on the Foundation’s social media platforms, via email, and during the Celebrate Our Stars event on May 4 at Wheaton North High School.
Here is the quick & easy nomination form. Please let us know who in your school should be recognized for efforts that are unique and positive, above and beyond, and inspiring/encouraging.
If you have any questions, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to receiving the nominations of those colleagues who have inspired and encouraged you, and then celebrating their efforts as Stars of the Week.
*You might wonder if Stars of the Week replaces Distinguished Educator Awards. In a few weeks, we will open Distinguished Educator Award nominations to the entire community. Distinguished Educator Awards will remain a committee-reviewed award process, while Stars of the Week nominations will occur between colleagues in a school building — an opportunity to honor inspiring colleagues at each D200 school.
