In March 2020, the Student Excellence Foundation established the Food Insecurity Crisis Fund, an emergency fund providing resources for District 200 students and families facing food insecurity. In October 2020, the Foundation expanded the Fund to meet additional needs.

28% of District 200 students come from low-income households.
3,310 students receive a free or reduced lunch every school day.

The Essential Needs program meets food insecurity needs through mobile food pantries, which feed at least 250 families with fresh food, including produce and dairy.

The Essential Needs program meets wet & winter weather gear needs for students whose families are struggling to meet those needs.

The Essential Needs program bridges the gap for learning enrichment needs for students and classrooms.

Your donation connects District 200 students and families with supportive resources to meet needs like these.

The Student Excellence Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 Illinois corporation.
Donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
