
In March 2020, the Student Excellence Foundation established the Food Insecurity Crisis Fund, an emergency fund providing resources for District 200 students and families facing food insecurity. In October 2020, the Foundation expanded the Fund to meet additional needs.

3,310 students receive a free or reduced lunch every school day.

The Essential Needs program meets food insecurity needs through mobile food pantries, which feed at least 250 families with fresh food, including produce and dairy.
