Student Excellence Grants fund all sorts of ideas, from math manipulatives to classroom libraries to technology and flexible furniture. The scope can vary, from one classroom to multiple classrooms to Library Learning Centers serving an entire school.  Grants are awarded for projects that enhance student learning and support District 200’s Vision 2026 Strategic Plan.  Educators apply for funding in a competitive process; we offer two rounds of grants each school year, Fall and Spring.

We encourage educators to apply for grants relating to one or more of the following purposes:

    • Diversity and Inclusion
    • Literacy
    • Physical Education and Fine Arts
    • Science, Technology, Enginering and Math (STEM)
    • Social Emotional Learning
    • Social Studies

Our Success Stories page has examples of exciting projects we’ve funded.  Student Excellence Grants are funded by donations to the Foundation from businesses and individuals, including educators (via the WWEA) and parents, as compared to our Fund-A-Classroom crowdfunding program, which relies on donations to specific campaigns.
